Q. If I have less than the minimum number for my Celebration party, can I still book?
A. Yes we are happy to have less than the minimum for or Celebration parties as long as you are happy to pay for the minimum.
Q. I am still getting the numbers together for my Celebration weekend, can you reserve the weekend for me in the meantime?
A. Contact us and we will pencil you in and give you first refusal should anyone else show and interest in a Celebration weekend. We simply ask that you keep us informed of your progress so that we can release the weekend if your plans fall through.
Q. I am ready to go ahead, how do I book my Celebration weekend house party?
A. You can book your Celebration party by paying a 25% deposit. The deposit can be paid by cheque made payable to Score Valley Hotel.
Q. I know that I will have more than the minimum and less than the maximum but not sure of the final number, how do I book my Celebration weekend?
A. We suggest that you base your booking on the minimum number rather than your expected Celebration party size.
Q. What happens if I book for eighteen but less turn up for my Celebration party?
A. As long as you meet the agreed minimum numbers then you do not have to pay for the "no shows". If the numbers for your Celebration weekend fall below the minimum you will be asked to pay for the agreed minimum.
Q. Having paid the deposit when do we pay the balance?
A. The balance for your Celebration party can be paid at any time prior to your arrival by cheque or at the latest, at check in.
Q. I want to inform the rest of my party about your Celebration weekends do you have any brochures?
A. We rely totally on the Internet for the marketing and promotion of our Celebration weekends. Most groups pass around our WEB address as a means of sharing the information.
Q. If I book a Celebration weekend now and have to cancel what cancellation charges will apply?
A. We try to be as fair as possible. If we are able to re-let the weekend to another group then your deposit will be refunded in full apart from any administration charges incurred in taking and refunding the deposit. However if we are unable to re-let the weekend then you will be liable in law for the full amount of the weekend less the costs of any food and wages not incurred by us. Q. Some members of our Celebration party have special dietary requirements can you cater for these?
A. Yes, we are well used to catering for special dietary requirements as long as we are informed in advance of your Celebration party weekend.
Q. Our party want to do some activities during the weekend. How do we find out what activities are available and how do we book these?
A. There are many exciting country activities to enjoy at centres close to the hotel. Please click here to find out more about the activities that you can enjoy during your Celebration weekend.
Q. Can we bring our own wine or drinks for our Celebration party?
A. As we have a well stocked bar and extensive wine list we insist that we supply your wine and bar requirements during your Celebration weekend. If you have any special requirements then please let us know in advance.
Q. If we need taxis during our weekend can you arrange these for us?
A. Yes we have an arrangement with a local taxi company and will organise taxis for your you.
Q. Our party group may be arriving at the hotel at various times on the Friday night. Can your cater for them if some arrive after the evening meal has been served?
A. Yes we aim to serve the Friday evening meal at an agreed time for the majority of your group. We are happy to serve any late arrivals on trays in the bar.
Q. Do you have any house rules regarding behaviour during Celebration weekends at your hotel?
A. Celebration weekend house parties are our main business so we know what to expect and can help make the weekend a success. We do have a few house rules that we ask you to observe, these are :
* Please respect the house and the staff
* Any breakages must be paid for
* No alcohol to be brought into the hotel
* A good time must be had by all
